Fashion Studies 10 Intro (fas10xx) - 5 credits

Fashion Studies 10 provides many opportunities for students to learn how to use the sewing machine and the serger. Students will sew basic projects such as skirts, pants or shirts. Creative work (fabric painting, machine and hand embroidery, refashioning, etc.) is emphasized throughout the course. This course can have a focus on regular garment sewing or on creating garments for a cosplay.

Fashion Studies 20 Inter (FAS20XX) - 5 credits

Students will learn how to apply an interfaced collar to a project. Students can also experiment with several design techniques by drafting patterns, designing with flat patterns and sketching fashion illustrations. This course can have a focus on regular garment sewing or on creating garments for a cosplay.

Prerequisite: Fashion 10

Fashion Studies 30 Adv (FAS30XX) - 5 credits

Students can also sew advanced projects such as evening gowns, coats, jackets and/or lined tailored garments. They will develop a greater awareness of the role of the fashion industry and the world of designers.  This course can have a focus on regular garment sewing or on creating garments for a cosplay.
